Hi there, fellow artists and interested parties! I'm Kay, an illustrator and graphic designer from Belgium. Let me take a moment to share my story and with this, the creation of Kay's Quest.

Back in my toddler years, the only thing on my mind was drawing. My whole childhood was centered around it and I was continuously busy drawing, designing and crafting objects in wood and carton.

Then adulthood kicked in : "Get a good degree, find a well-paying job and you've made it in life!" Those were the words I heard over and over again in the environment I grew up in. As long as I did not talk about pursuing my dream to become an artist, everything was good and save, because  "You can always 'doodle' when you're retired" and "Be careful, you will become one of those starving artists!"... etc.

In the end, I did get a good degree and found a well-paying job, although I clearly knew that life had also something else for me in store. So I continued to live like adult humans "are supposed to do" and it seemed to work well for a while, until I discovered something that changed my life forever ...

Some time ago a series of events happened in my life, which led me to take a closer look at how to deal with toxic situations. Ultimately this research guided me into the direction of Self Development. Or to put it in other words: how a negative experience turned out to be the best that ever happened to me!
